Syzygium bira
$10.00
Syzygium sp. ‘Bira’ is an ultra-rare, undescribed botanical treasure from the Myrtaceaefamily, native to the Bira region of South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is a favorite among “big leaf” enthusiasts for its prehistoric appearance and dramatic color changes.
It produces massive, leathery leaves that can grow up to 50–80 cm long. The leaf surface is highly textured with deep, parallel veins that give it a “ribbed” or corrugated look. It is a slow-growing understory tree. In a home or greenhouse setting, it functions as a majestic focal point plant with a sturdy, upright stem.
