Musa ingens

$100.00

Musa ingens is one of the largest banana species in the world, native to the montane rainforests of New Guinea. It grows in cool, high-humidity tropical mountain environments and can reach extreme heights, making it a true botanical giant and a collector’s highlight.

Cultivate it in warm to mild temperatures (18–28°C), very high humidity, rich organic soil, and consistent moisture. Provide strong light or partial sun and ample space, as it develops a massive pseudostem and large leaves.

Its most unique feature is its enormous size, with leaves that can surpass most other Musa species, giving it a dramatic, prehistoric appearance. Javaniska Elflora offers Musa ingens in a very limited collector’s selection due to its rarity and cultivation demands.
