Musa ensete glaucum (now scientifically classified as Ensete glaucum) is a majestic, fast-growing ornamental plant commonly known as the Snow Banana or Blue Banana. Native to high-altitude regions of Southeast Asia and the Himalayas, it is prized for its dramatic architectural presence and unique coloration.
It has a thick, solitary pseudostem (trunk) that is often covered in a waxy, white or bluish bloom. The base is characteristically swollen and bulbous. In ideal tropical conditions, it can grow up to 6 meters tall, though it typically reaches 3–4 meters in cultivation.
