From: $15.00
Musa lawitiensis is a rare and slender wild banana species native to the island of Borneo. It is named after the Lawit Mountains in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, and is primarily found growing in disturbed tropical habitats like riverbanks at low to medium elevations.
The leaves are narrow and drooping, often with bright, waxy white undersides that contrast with the green tops. It also produces a slender inflorescence with orange-red bracts that have a bluish waxy hue and greenish flowers.
It thrives in the wet tropical biome, particularly in open or disturbed areas such as riverbanks where it can access sufficient sunlight.
